COLLIER COUNTY, FL : Motorcyclist seriously hurt after hit-and-run crash on I-75 on Sunday, 20th January 2019

A motorcyclist is in the hospital after getting hit by a car on I-75 on Sunday evening.

Troopers said the driver of a Ford Mustang took off from the scene after switching lanes and hitting Codie Doolin while on his motorcycle just before 6:30 p.m.

The collision caused Doolin, a 31-year-old Cape Coral man, to fall off his bike as the Mustang continued driving. The hit-and-run driver then got off the highway at Immokalee Road, near where the crash happened, according to an incident report.
