Whitehouse, TX : Flint woman dies in two-vehicle wreck near Whitehouse on Monday morning, September 15, 2014
A Flint woman was killed Monday morning after her vehicle lost control on a wet road.
At 9:45 a.m., a car headed east on FM 346 entered a curve at an unsafe speed with the dangerous road conditions and hydroplaned, then side skidded into an SUV traveling west, said DPS Trooper Jean Dark.
The driver of car was identified as 68-year-old JoAnn Giles. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Judge James Meredith. Her body was taken to Stewart Funeral Home.
An 8-year-old passenger in the car and the driver of the SUV, 37-year-old Larysa Boggess of Tyler, were taken to local hospitals in stable condition. The boy was transferred to Children's Medical Center in Dallas.
The accident occurred two miles west of Whitehouse.
