ALBERTSON, NC : 5-month-old boy among 3 killed in fiery North Carolina crash on Wednesday, 2nd May 2018

The North Carolina Highway Patrol says a 5-month-old boy is among three people killed in a fiery crash.

Troopers told local news outlets that Anthony Castillo of Warsaw was killed in Wednesday night’s crash in Duplin County, as were 37-year-old Nicolette Nelson and 33-year-old David Jones, both of Pink Hill.

According to the patrol, the car carrying the three victims ran a stop sign, hit another car and overturned in a ditch before catching fire. There were five people in the car at the time of the accident, which occurred just west of Albertson.

The driver of the second vehicle was hospitalized. There was no word on their condition, nor on the condition of the other two people in the car.

The patrol says an investigation is continuing.
