Knoxville, TN : Motorcyclist killed in South Knox crash on Monday, September 12, 2016

A 37-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash in South Knox County on Monday.

Donald J. Dunn, of Townsend, Tenn., was thrown when his motorcycle struck a guardrail as he rounded a corner on Tipton Station Road near Breeden Road at 2:43 p.m., according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.

Dunn was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

The rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, KCSO spokeswoman Hillary Martin said.
