LAKE JACKSON, TX : Pickup collision severely injures Clute boy on bike on Thursday, 22nd March 2018

An 8-year-old boy remained in a Houston hospital Thursday after being hit by a pickup while riding his bike, authorities said.

The boy, who lives in Clute, was riding a bicycle in the 200 block of Jonquil Street when a black 2015 Chevy Silverado turned left off Cedar Street and hit the boy just before 8 p.m. Wednesday, Lake Jackson Police Lt. Bryan Sidebottom said. Police found the boy conscious and bleeding from his head when they arrived, police records show.
