Gaston County, NC : Man killed in Gastonia moped crash on Friday night, April 1, 2016

A man was killed in a moped crash in Gastonia Friday night.

Gastonia police say 52-year-old Glenn Arthur Burney was driving a 2009 Honda moped when he lost control, ran off the road and was ejected into a concrete wall.

Burney was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. He died at the scene, police say. The Gastonia Police Traffic Enforcement Bureau is investigating the crash to determine possible contributing factors.
