Motorcyclist killed, wife hurt in Grand Prairie crash

An Irving man was killed and his wife was seriously injured Monday night when their motorcycle collided with a pickup in Grand Prairie.Danny Clifford Hendrix, 44, was northbound on Belt Line Road about 6:25 p.m. when he ran a red light at the Interstate 30 frontage road, police said.

Hendrix’s Harley-Davidson motorcycle collided westbound Ford Ranger that was turning left onto Belt Line, according to a police report.

He and his wife, Misty Hendrix, were taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center, where he died and she was listed in serious condition.

Police say the couple were not wearing helmets.The driver of the pickup, 60-year-old Doris Valez of Grand Prairie, was taken to Methodist with non-life-threatening injuries.
