Roanoke, VA : School bus involved in morning collision in Christiansburg on Thursday morning, February 23, 2017

A Montgomery County Public Schools bus was involved in a collision in Christiansburg on Thursday morning.
A sedan crashed into the back of a bus transporting nine high school students while it was stopped at the railroad crossing on North Franklin Street at about 9:09 a.m., according to an email from town of Christiansburg spokeswoman Melissa Powell.
Powell said none of the students, nor the driver of the bus, was injured. The driver of the sedan, Joshua A. Eckstein, 34, of Christiansburg, was transported to LewisGale Hospital to be treated for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Eckstein was charged with following too closely and released on a summons, Powell said.
