East Montpelier, VT : Man critically injured in East Montpelier crash Wednesday on July 9, 2014

One man critically injured Wednesday after a car collided with a logging truck in East Montpelier.

State police say the crash happened on Route 2 just after 6 p.m.

Authorities say the driver of a sedan tried to turn left when he struck the truck traveling in the opposite direction.

State police say the investigation is ongoing and have not released the identities of the men involved.

The truck driver was not injured.
