A 20-year-old man is dead and four others injured after a crash near the intersection of Poinciana Boulevard and Indian Pointe Boulevard early Saturday. Florida Highway Patrol Troopers identified the man as Christopher Rivera of Kissimmee. About 7:50 a.m., Rivera was headed south on Poinciana Boulevard in a 1994 Toyota Corolla. At the same time, two other vehicles were headed north on Poinciana Boulevard near Indian Pointe Boulevard. At the point in the road where the collision happened, there is only one northbound lane and one southbound lane separated only by a paint median.Troopers say Rivera crossed into the northbound lane into the paths of the two other drivers. Carlos Uribe, 38, managed to quickly swerve out of the way and avoid the collision. The Kissimmee man ended up on the east shoulder near the wood line.
