Des Moines , IA : 20-year-old Amanda March and her 3-year-old daughter injured in Crash after rollover crash on Saturday ,March 28th 2015

Rescue crews responded to the scene of a crash in the southbound lane of I-235, under the Euclid Avenue bridge, around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Officials at the scene said a four-door Mazda sedan was flipped on its top when they arrived, and two occupants were inside the vehicle.

Mercy Medical officials said 20-year-old Amanda March and her 3-year-old daughter were transported to the hospital after the crash and have since been released.

Iowa State Patrol Trooper Michael Clyde said based of the condition of the Mazda, the two were lucky to be able to walk after the crash.

“Luckily they were both up out of the car, walking around, which is a miracle,” Clyde said.

He said speed is a factor in the investigation.
