A police chase Tuesday night resulted in a crash and the arrest of a 24-year-old Manchester man.
Police said Hollins Sylvain, who had a suspended driver's license, was driving a silver Honda Civic in the area of Hudson and Knowlton streets.
When an officer tried to stop him, Sylvain fled south on Knowlton Street at such a high rate of speed that the officer stopped pursuing him.
Police said Sylvain lost control of and crashed his car in the dead end on Knowlton Street. The car came to a stop in someone's yard, and Sylvain got out and fled on foot.
Manchester police established a perimeter and eventually found Sylvain running through yards near Somerville Street.
He was taken into custody and charged with reckless conduct, criminal mischief, conduct after an accident, disobeying a police officer, resisting arrest, operating after suspension and habitual offender.
