Pensacola, FL : Motorcyclist critically injured in crash, fall from I-10 ramp on Friday afternoon, July 8, 2016

A motorcyclist is in critical condition following an accident at the on ramp to Interstate 10 eastbound Friday afternoon, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

Dean Gares Campbell, 22, of Pensacola was traveling northbound on Interstate 110 at approximately 4:45 p.m. Friday. As Campbell attempted to pass a vehicle to get in the right through lane to the Interstate 10 eastbound ramp, he drove between a vehicle and a box truck and lost control of his 2004 Yamaha motorcycle, the report said.

Campbell crashed into the concrete barrier on the northern portion of the road. The collision caused Campbell to be ejected from the motorcycle and go over the railing falling approximately 40 to 50 feet. He landed in the grassy shoulder of Interstate 10 eastbound at exit 13.
