Las Vegas, NV : Moped driver injured after the vehicle collided with a minivan near East Sahara Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, January 27, 2015

A moped driver was transported to the hospital this afternoon after the vehicle collided with a minivan near East Sahara Avenue and Paradise Road this afternoon, Metro Police said.

Police were called about 3:15 p.m. to the scene of an injury accident near Van Patten Place, Officer Larry Hadfield said.

The moped driver was taken to Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center's trauma center with injuries believed to be nonlife-threatening, Hadfield said.

No further information, including the age or gender of the driver, was immediately available.
