Scottsbluff, NE : Four injured in collision at highway intersection east of Scottsbluff on Sunday, October 23, 2016
Nebraska State Patrol troopers investigated an accident in which four were seriously injured Sunday.
The accident occurred at about 4 p.m. at the T intersection between Highways 26, 92 and 71 just east of Scottsbluff.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, Kalee Young, 17, of Mitchell, had been driving a 1995 Ford Explorer, northbound on Highway 71 when she allegedly failed to yield to an eastbound semi traveling on Highway 26. The semi, driven by Travis Crouch, 51, of Kansas, struck the SUV on the left side.
Young and three passengers in her vehicle were transported to Regional West Medical Center with injuries. Restraints were in use.
The semi driver was uninjured.
Both vehicles were totaled.
