La Crosse,WI : Three people injured in two-vehicle crash on Hwy. 33 on June, Friday 2nd 2017

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. 33 near Taylor Valley Road in the town of Whitestown, June 2.

Glenn Tews, 71, of Lodi, was traveling west on Hwy. 33 when he failed to round the curve, crossed the centerline and struck a vehicle going east driven by Judith Eness, 74, of La Farge. A passenger in Eness’ vehicle, Sue Rego, 55, of rural Ontario, received minor injuries.

According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, Eness and Rego were taken by Ontario EMS to Vernon Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. They were treated and released. Tews refused medical transport. Both vehicles were towed.

Airbags went off in Tews’ vehicle. All occupants were wearing their seat belts.

Ontario EMS, Ontario Fire Department, Ontario Police Department and the Kickapoo Valley Reserve Police Department assisted at the scene.
