MONTGOMERY COUNTY, VA : 22-year-old Franklin Co. man killed after truck hits tree on Route 8 in Montgomery Co. on Saturday, 3rd August 2024

A Franklin County man is dead following a crash in Montgomery County on Saturday.

At approximately 8:42 p.m., the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office responded to the 5600 block of Riner Road (Route 8), near the intersection of Broad Shoals Road.

Arriving deputies found a single-vehicle crash. The sheriff's office said a Ford pickup truck had been driving North toward Christiansburg when it ran off the left side of the road and hit a tree.
