Lake Twp, OH : Three people injured in motorcycle crash on Middlebranch Road in Stark County on Thursday night, Aug 13, 2015

Authorities are investigating a motorcycle crash that sent three people to the hospital Thursday night.

Around 5 p.m., a 2008 Harley Davidson drove left of center on Middlebranch Road and crashed into a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer.

The driver of the motorcycle, 64-year-old Robert L. Shaw, and his passenger, 64-year-old Darlene Shaw, both of North Canton, were ejected from the motorcycle. They were not wearing helmets.

Both Robert and Darlene were taken to Aultman Hospital with serious injuries. Robert is in critical condition.

The driver of the Chevrolet Trailblazer, 62-year-old Janet F. Newlina, of Hartville, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Akron City Hospital. Newlin’s 15-year-old passenger was not injured.

Alcohol is not a factor in the crash.

The Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating.
