Astoria ,NY : Police arrest and charge man in Queens hit-and-run that killed 21-year-old woman on Saturday ,June 27th 2015

Police say a Queens man has been charged in a hit-and-run that killed a 21-year-old woman.

Authorities say 24-year-old Nicholas Colleran has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, driving without a license and related offenses.

Investigators say Betty Jean Dibiasio was hit by a car that kept going just before 12:30 a.m. Saturday in Astoria. She suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at a hospital.

It's unclear if Colleran has an attorney.
