Fort Collins, CO : Six people injured in a two-vehicle crash at Mountain Vista Drive On Saturday, August 20th, 2016

A two-vehicle crash left four people injured, two seriously, Saturday morning in northeast Fort Collins.

A 2008 Toyota Tundra was traveling west about 8 a.m. in the 3300 block of Mountain Vista Drive when it smashed into the driver's side of a 2009 Subaru Impreza. The impact crumpled the driver's side of the sedan and trapped

several of the occupants, resulting in an extrication response from Poudre Fire Authority.

Police believe the driver of the Subaru, Chandra Levi, was traveling west when she made a U-turn mid-block. Levi and the front seat passenger, Brandon Sargent, 22, suffered serious injuries. A third passenger in the sedan,

19-year-old Nicholas Main, suffered minor injuries, Fort Collins police said.

The driver of the Toyota, Theodore Cano, 40, also suffered minor injuries.

Poudre Valley Hospital EMS treated and transported each of the patients to Medical Center of the Rockies. Levi was listed in fair condition and Sargent was listed in critical condition Saturday night, a hospital spokesman confirmed.

The 3300 block of Mountain Vista Drive, near Timberline Road, was closed for about six hours while investigators with the Fort Collins Police Services CRASH team processed the scene. An investigation is ongoing, charges

are pending, and officers are working to determine whether impairment or speed contributed to the wreck.

Anyone with information about the crash who has not already provided a statement to police is asked to contact Officer Tim Brennan at 970-416-2229.
