TEMPE, AZ : Motorcyclist killed after crash in Tempe on Friday, 19th January 2024

A motorcyclist has died after a crash in Tempe on Friday night.

Police say just before 9 p.m., officers were called to the crash near 52nd Street and University Drive. As emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found a motorcyclist seriously hurt. The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital, but later died.

Authorities are working to determine if speed or impairment were factors in the crash. The intersection was closed throughout the night but reopened Saturday morning.
