Rochester, NY : A multi-car collision on Interstate 390 on Saturday, December, 23rd 2017

A child sustained a "serious injury" following a multi-car collision on Interstate 390 north near Dansville on Saturday afternoon, deputies announced.

Traffic is closed in the area due to the collision, Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty said. The collision happened about 3:30 p.m.

Dougherty said traffic was shut down northbound in the area of Exit 4. The roadway was re-opened about 9:15 p.m., he said.

He said deputies were on scene in the area and completed a collision reconstruction. No further information about the child's condition was released.
