Savannah, GA : Pedestrian injured in collision with car in crosswalk at Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard on Monday evening, February 1, 2016

A SCAD student is recovering after being hit by a car Monday evening.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. at Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Turner Boulevard, near the Collaborative Learning Center.

Police say a vehicle was headed southbound on MLK when it struck a female pedestrian who was walking in the crosswalk.

The victim was a SCAD student. She was transported to the hospital with an injured arm.

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are investigating the incident.
