Norton, R.I : Easton man hurt in Norton crash Sunday on June 8, 2014
An Easton resident was injured Sunday after his car truck a tree on East Main Street in Norton, according to Norton police.
On Sunday morning, June 8, at approximately 2:15 a.m., the Norton police and fire departments responded to a single-car crash in the area of 258 East Main St. A vehicle had traveled off the roadway and struck a tree, police said.
The driver, Ronald Young, 21, of Easton, was extricated from the vehicle by Norton fire personnel and transported to Rhode Island Hospital for serious injuries.
The Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis Unit responded to the scene due to the severity of the injuries, police said.
That portion of East Main Street was closed for approximately three hours while personnel investigated the crash.
The driver has not been cited, however the crash remains under investigation, police said.
