San Andreas, CA : Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash on State Route 49 near Knief Lane on Saturday, March 28, 2015

A motorcyclist was seriously injured after colliding with a car on southbound State Route 49 near Knief Lane, Saturday evening, California Highway Patrol Officers reported.

The crash which blocked both southbound lanes occurred shortly after 6:40 p.m.

Paramedics were called to attend to and transport the rider to a nearby hospital to be treated for major injuries.

The roadway was cleared as of 7:08 p.m.

Authorities will continue to investigate to determine liability.

“I wish a swift and steady recovery for the seriously injured motorcyclist at this time. Any injured party involved in a collision will have a bodily injury claim against the negligent driver who caused the accident,” said West Seegmiller, a San Andreas motorcycle accident and personal injury lawyer.
