Dartmouth man dead after Sunday accident in Dartmouth Massachusetts

A 25-year-old Dartmouth man died after a traffic accident Sunday.Police identified the man as Peter Brehaut in a press release Monday evening.At about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, police and other emergency personnel responded to the 100 block of Bakerville Road to investigate crash with injuries involving a motorcycle and another motor vehicle.Brehaut, the operator of the motorcycle, was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, police said.His passenger, a 24-year-old Westport woman, was transported by MedFlight to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence to receive treatment for life-threatening injuries. Both Brehaut and his passenger were wearing helmets, police said.The driver of the motor vehicle, a 54-year-old woman from Fairhaven, suffered minor injuries, police said.
