CAMPBELL COUNTY, VA : 21-year-old hit and killed in Campbell County on Saturday, 28th September 2024

Virginia State Police (VSP) said they are investigatinga fatal hit-and-run pedestrian crash that occurred on Saturday on Route 501.

VSP said this happened at around 9:53 p.m., on Route 501 in Campbell County.

According to VSP, a pedestrian was walking northbound on Route 501 near Phelps Creek Road when he was hit by an SUV that did not remain on the scene. The investigation shows the vehicle had traveled out of its marked lane when it hit the pedestrian.
