Natchitoches Parish, LA : Natchitoches woman dies in La. Highway 174 crash on Monday, 24th February, 2020

A woman died Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Natchitoches Parish, becoming the eighth traffic fatality of 2020 in Troop E.

A Louisiana State Police release states that Natchitoches resident Teshika Delry, 26, died at the scene of the crash around 11:30 a.m. on La. Highway 174, east of Interstate 49.

Delry was driving westbound on La. 174 in a 2002 Toyota Camry when she ran off the road and into a ditch. She over corrected and crossed into the eastbound lane, hitting a 2007 Dodge pickup truck, it reads.

Delry was not wearing a seat belt. The unidentified driver of the Dodge was wearing a seat belt and suffered moderate injuries.

The crash still is under investigation.
