Kronenwetter, WI : 58-year-old man dies in Kronenwetter crash on Friday, February 17, 2017
A 58-year-old utility truck driver is dead after a two-vehicle crash on State 153 in the village of Kronenwetter.
The driver of the utility truck was identified as Charles Rodeback by Everest Metro Police Department. His truck was struck by a pickup truck pulling a trailer.
The other driver was injured and taken to Ministry Saint Clare's Hospital in Weston for treatment, Kronenwetter Police Chief Terry McHugh told a USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin reporter on the scene.
The crash was reported at 10:19 a.m. Friday at Pioneer Road and State 153. The pickup truck driver was traveling south on Pioneer Road when the driver failed to stop for a stop sign and crashed into the utility truck, which was headed east on State 153, McHugh said.
Traffic on State 153 was rerouted south down Pioneer Road to North Road for several hours Friday afternoon. Police said the crash is under investigation.
