Danville, CA : Driver injured in car crash Interstate 680 northbound on Tuesday afternoon September 22 2015

Fire crews extricated an injured driver from a vehicle involved in a collision Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 680, a CHP officer said.
A silver Honda and a white pickup truck collided at about 5:17 p.m. on northbound Interstate 680, just south of the Diablo Road, said California Highway Patrol Officer Peter Van Eckhardt.
San Ramon Valley Fire crews extricated the Honda driver, who was injured and trapped in the car, Van Eckhardt said. Early reports show that the pickup truck driver was uninjured.
The crash blocked the left three lanes on northbound Interstate 680 and caused major delays, he said. With only two lanes open for motorists, traffic was backed up to Crow Canyon Road as of 5:55 p.m.
The cause of the collision was undetermined as of Tuesday night. The condition of the injured driver was not readily available
