Los Angeles, CA : Nine injured in a collision involving two Metro buses crash in Pico Union area on Thursday, February 25, 2016

A collision involving two Metro buses west of downtown Los Angeles today resulted in nine injuries, authorities said.

Paramedics sent to the 1500 block of South Vermont Avenue shortly before 8 a.m. evaluated 29 people for possible injuries, and nine of them were transported for hospital treatment, including both bus drivers, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

None of the injuries was life-threatening, Humphrey said. The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
