West Babylon, NY : Teen killed, 2 others in serious condition after car crashes into house on Long Island on Sunday, Aug 30, 2015
A teenager was killed and two passengers were seriously injured after a car crashed into a house on Long Island.
It happened at 8:50 p.m. Sunday in West Babylon.
Suffolk County police say Aramis Broadus was driving on Little East Neck Road when he lost control of the car and struck a telephone pole and a house.
The 19-year-old driver and three of his passengers were taken to a hospital.
One of the passengers, 17-year-old Kenya Jimenez of Deer Park, died from her injuries.
The other two passengers were treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Broadus was treated for minor injuries and released.
The residence sustained extensive damage and was condemned. No one inside was injured.
The car was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing.
