Shallote, NC : Woman killed after car crash in Brunswick County Highway 17 on Friday,February 5 2016

Emergency crews were called to a deadly wreck on HWY 17 south of Shallotte around 7 p.m. Friday night.
Virginia Hinson, 59, from Little River, South Carolina died at the scene according to the Brunswick County Coroner's Office.
Highway Patrol Troopers said she was trying to cross the road when she was hit by a car.
They do not believe either she or the driver were impaired.No one else was injured.Troopers do not believe the driver of the car will be charged.
