WELLSVILLE, NY : Village makes repairs after N. Main St. accident on Saturday, October, 7th 2017
The village Department of Public Works worked for about 3.5 hours Wednesday to replace a pole on North Main Street and restore service after a pickup truck struck the pole.
“We just had to replace the pole and a couple of brackets. Everything else we were able to reuse,” said Director of Public Works Bill Whitfield. “We were done about 3:30 p.m.”
Whitfield said about 10 customers were without power while the department was replacing the pole. He said Thursday that the department was still working on the costs incurred by the village.
“We’ve not completed the invoice yet,” he said. “Now it’s up to Spectrum and Verizon to remove their stuff and the old pole will be removed after that.”
County dispatchers took the call about the accident at 11:41 a.m. Wednesday.
Village police Thursday said the driver was Marietta Goodliff, 47, of Andover.
