Officers say a 2002 Toyota Camry was heading south on Highway 395 at about 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4, south of Sunnyside Road in unincorporated Lassen County.
The driver of the Camry attempted to pass several slower moving cars by driving left of double-parallel yellow lines, according to CHP. Distant view in the area is also obstructed by a curve in the road, the agency said in its report.
