Las Vegas, NV : SUV catches fire, minor injuries reported in northwest valley crash on Monday evening, Oct 26, 2015

An SUV caught fire after a two-vehicle crash at a northwest valley intersection this evening, blocking the roadway, according to Metro Police.

Police responded about 6:20 p.m. to Ann Road and Durango Drive, where a Chevy truck and Dodge Durango collided, Lt. Jeff Goodwin said.

It was not immediately clear how many people were injured, but only minor injuries were reported, he said.

The Durango caught fire, blocking the intersection, Goodwin said.

Fire department personnel must assess the situation and give the OK before the area can be reopened to traffic, Goodwin said.
