LOUISVILLE, KY : One woman killed, three others injured in Shelby County traffic crash on July, Monday 3rd 2017

An Anderson County woman was killed in a traffic crash in Shelby County on Monday.

According to the Kentucky State Police, Connie Kinder, 65, of Lawrenceburg was pronounced dead at Jewish Hospital by the Shelby County coroner.

KSP Trooper Bernis Napier says the crash happened at the intersection of Mt. Eden Road and KY 151 Bonnie Brae Drive in Shelby County.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a 1996 Chevrolet truck driven by Kinder was traveling west on Bonnie Brae Drive and failed to yield to a 2013 Kia that was was travelling north on Mt Eden Road.

A 56-year-old female passenger in Kinder's truck was transported to University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries.

The 70-year-old female driver of the Kia, along with her 89-year-old passenger were also transported to University of Louisville with minor injuries.

Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, Shelby County Fire and EMS and the Shelby County Coroner.

The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police Post 12 detectives and collision reconstruction units.

Funeral arrangements for Kinder are pending at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, according to her obituary.
