DeSoto County, FL : Arcadia man is in critical condition after a crash on Friday night October 24th 2014

An Arcadia man is in critical condition after a crash late Friday night. It happened near the intersection of Roan Street and N.E. Sugar Babe Road at around 11:50 p.m. According to Florida Highway Patrol, 21-year-old Matthew Messer, Jr. was driving east on Road Drive when the vehicle ran off the roadway. Messer, Jr. then overcorrected to the left and went into a ditch. Messer, Jr. was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital and is in critical condition. Charges are pending.
