Barnesville, GA : Motorcyclist killed in crash on Stoke Store Road in the 3200 block on Sunday, June 12, 2016

On Sunday, June 13th, 2016 at approximately 8:18 pm, Monroe County deputies responded to a single vehicle auto accident with injuries on Stoke Store Road in the 3200 block.

When deputies and EMS arrived, it was discovered that a motorcycle being driven by Elmer A. Lundy (56 y/o) of Forsyth had left the roadway while traveling west, went into the ditch, and separated Lundy from his motorcycle. Lundy was pronounced deceased on scene. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
