Kieler,WI : One motorcyclist killed in crash at Highway 151 on Friday evening August 7th 2015

A mechanical issue caused the car directly in front of a 60-year-old motorcyclist to slow down suddenly, according to a release, causing an accident Friday evening on Highway 151 near the Iowa-Wisconsin border. Michael Wells, of Monticello, Iowa, swerved to avoid contact with the car but lost control of his motorcycle and suffered head injuries upon impact with the ground, police said.

Wells was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident, according to the release. He was taken to Dubuque, Iowa, for treatment and eventually airlifted to Iowa City.
