Greenville, South Carolina
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Greenville County. The accident happened at Edwards and Lee Roads Saturday at 4:40 a.m. Troopers say two vehicles were traveling northbound on Edwards Road. The driver of a Ford rollback wrecker came to a stop at the traffic light at Lee Road. The second vehicle, a Honda Civic struck the right of the wrecker and then struck a utility pole. The driver of the Civic died at the scene.
Greenville County Deputy Coroner Barry Wright identifies the driver of the Civic as Randall Shane Bridges of Taylors. Wright says Bridges was an unrestrained driver and died of blunt force trauma to the head.
