Stockett , MT : 1 person dead in Stockett Road crash on Thursday, 9th August 2018

Around 4:40 pm Thursday afternoon, Montana Highway Patrol responded to an accident on Stockett Road and Spring Creek Road south of Centerville. Once troopers arrived they found a 45-year-old Great Falls man dead.

MHP dispatch said the man was traveling southbound on Secondary Hwy 227 when he lost control of his motorcycle. The motorcycle then rolled and the driver was separated from the bike. The motorcycle crossed the center lane and came to rest 35 feet west in a ditch. The man was thrown to the west side of the road and hit a sign post and came to rest 12 feet from the road.

Speed was suspected and the victim was pronounced dead on the scene. MHP said he was wearing a helmet.
