A bicyclist has died in Charlestown, New Hampshire after being hit by a car.
It happened on Route 12 near the intersection of Route 12A in Sullivan County. Police say 50-year-old Lance Torrey was riding his bike when for unknown reasons he veered into the northbound travel lane into the path of Claremont 23-year-old Jeremiah Lawrence's Acura. Torrey was sent to the Springfield Hospital in Vermont where he was pronounced dead. Police say alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in this crash.
They say for now it does not appear any criminal charges will be filed.
