Farmington, CT : Man killed in a car crash on U.S.Highway 550 Wednesday morning September 9 2015
State police identified the man killed in a car crash Wednesday morning on U.S. Highway 550 as Bloomfield resident Roy Davis.
Davis was driving north on the highway in a Honda Accord when his vehicle was struck by a Ford F-550 pickup truck near mile post 148, according to a New Mexico State Police press release.
The collision caused the Honda Accord to stray into the south lane, where it was hit head on by a Ford F-250 pickup truck, the release states.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 77.
The other drivers were not injured in the crash, according to the press release. Alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the crash, the release states.
State police continue to investigate the crash.
Southbound traffic on the highway was closed for several hours Wednesday.
