St. Petersburg, PA : Man dies after crashing motorcycle Alcohol was a factor in the crash on 58th Street North near 29th Avenue on Saturday, 13th July 2019

A man died Saturday night after being thrown from his motorcycle scooter, the St. Petersburg police said in a news release.

Kevin Christopher Daigle, 31, was driving a black low-power motorcycle northbound on 58th Street North near 29th Avenue. It was about 10 p.m., the release said.

For reasons that remain unclear, the brakes of the Chongqing Astronautic Bashan locked, the release said.

The vehicle drifted eastward and hit a curb on the east side of the street. The impact threw Daigle to the ground, the release said.

Authorities took Daigle to St. Petersburg General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
