2 dead in South crash in Fultondale, Alabama

Two people were killed in a crash this evening on Interstate 65 South in Fultondale, according to Alabama State Troopers.The wreck happened at 5:49 p.m. near Walker Chapel Road. The victims were pronounced dead on the scene.A Jefferson County deputy coroner who was at the scene said the car veered into the median and struck a pole.The driver was a man and the passenger a female.Fultondale firefighters pronounced them dead.
