RICHMOND, RI : 20-year-old woman killed in I-95 crash on Monday, 26th February 2024

A woman was killed and three other people suffered serious injuries in a crash Monday morning on I-95.

The crash happened just before 5 a.m. in the area of Exit 9 in Richmond, according to Rhode Island State Police.

State police said a tractor-trailer was heading north in the middle lane when it was hit from behind by a Subaru, which partially entered the left lane and was hit by a third vehicle.

A passenger from the Subaru, identified by police as 20-year-old Karen Paredes-Ramos of Providence, was pronounced dead at the scene.
