SHEFFIELD, AL : 2 Sheffield police officers injured in head-on collision on Saturday, 27th January 2024

Two Sheffield police officers were injured after a head-on collision on Saturday afternoon, per Sheffield Police Chief Ricky Terry.

Chief Terry said the incident happened around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of N. Atlanta Ave. and 6th St. Officials say before the wreck, the Sheffield Police Department was en route to a burglary in process call on N. Nashville Ave.

The officers were transported to Helen Keller Hospital and are expected to make a full recovery.

Tuscumbia Police Department is investigating the wreck.
