TOWN OF UNION, NY : Edgerton man cited for fourth OWI in Evansville crash on Friday, March 24th 2017
An Edgerton man was arrested for fourth drunken-driving offense after he rolled his vehicle near Evansville Friday evening, injuring himself.
Jonathan P. Hoffer, 58, Edgerton, was cited for fourth-offense operating while intoxicated after his vehicle overturned off the road at West Highway 59 near George Road in the town of Union, the Rock County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
The crash happened around 8 p.m. on Friday, according to the release.
Hoffer was injured in the crash, and was transported to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center on Friday night. He was listed in serious, but stable condition, according to the release.
Evansville Fire Department crews had to extricate Hoffer from the vehicle because its doors were stuck, according to Rock County 911 radio communications.
It's not clear if there were passengers in the car, but Hoffer apparently was the only person injured in the crash.
