1 dead in cycle crash; Wrong-way driver injures 1

Troopers are investigating a motorcycle accident that left one man dead.The crash happened around 1 a.m. Sunday morning at the southbound I-5 ramp to Michigan Street.Washington State Patrol says the motorcycle hit an off-ramp barrier, launching the rider off the motorcycle and onto the pavement. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.According to witnesses, the motorcyclist was speeding prior to the crash.Wrong-way driverA suspected drunk driver is in custody after going the wrong way on I-5 aroundmidnightSaturday.Police say the suspect was driving south in the northbound lanes of I-5 when the black truck collided with a Ford Edge near 145th street.The Ford Edge was totaled and left a 50-year-old man injured. The man was transported by paramedics to Harborview for treatment of his injuries. His current condition is unknown, and the other two victims were uninjured.The truck was carrying two passengers who were not injured in the crash.
